Delivery

Climbing Frames Etc. - Delivery Information

Where We Do And Don't Deliver

Play structures are large and heavy items so they are sent out to you direct from our suppliers, who are usually the main UK supplier or manufacturer of the products.  Each of these companies have different policies regarding where they will and won't deliver and how much they charge.

The locations that they will deliver to is specified on each of the products pages.

The delivery locations listed on the product page are the only ones that the products can be delivered to.  Questions regarding delivery to the USA or other parts of the world will probably go unanswered as the information being requested is already specified on the page for the product.

Delivery Cost

While we have tried to keep the delivery costs as cheap and simple as possible there are a very small number of exceptions to the rule.  Orders under £150 will be charged a fixed price of £6 for delivery whether for one or for twenty. (Note - this charge is below the true cost of the service).  Generally, orders of £150 or over will be sent out free of charge.  There are a small number of products where the price is over £150 but the delivery cost to us is simply too great to absorb.  In those cases there is a small charge for delivery which is detailed on the product pages.  There are also a number of add-on components for the playsets which will be delivered free of charge if purchased at the same time as the main play structure, but if purchased seperately may incur additional delivery charges due to the size and/or weight of the item.  Again, any variation on the standard delivery charges will be specified on the product page for that item.

Delivery Times

Delivery times will vary depending on a number of factors, such as time of year, demand, and the manufacturer/supplier the goods are coming from. Your delivery will be with you within 30 days of receipt of cleared funds. On certain items 5-10 days is a typical timescale, and on others 3-5 working days or less is the norm. If you are paying by cheque then you need to take account of the time it will take for the cheque to get to us, and the time it will take for the cheque to clear. For credit card payments, the order is processed as soon as the card verification and security checks have been completed (within 24 hours).

A telephone number is requested from you when you place your order with us.  Some suppliers use this number to pass on to the courier company so that they can contact you to arrange delivery.  It is therefore essential that the number that you provide is one that you can be reached at during the daytime.

On the Day of Delivery

On the day of delivery you will need to have someone present at the delivery address who is able to help the driver unload your products. These are 'all day' deliveries, which means that the driver could arrive any time during the day. It is not possible to specify a delivery time.  If nobody is present the delivery company will leave a note to say they have called and they will attempt re-delivery.  If they are unable to deliver due to nobody being in and the product is returned then you will be liable for the cost of the re-scheduled  delivery.

IMPORTANT - When your delivery arrives make sure that you have received ALL of the packages necessary for your play structure.  Packages ar usually labelled up as 1/9, 2/9, etc. for easy checking.  If a package is missing then you MUST sign "MISSING" and cross out the line that says that the goods were "received in good condition". Similarly, if any packages are open or damaged then you MUST sign "DAMAGED" and cross out the line that says they were "received in good condition".

Never, EVER, sign the delivery sheet without inspecting the packages first to ensure that you have the right number of packages and checking their condition.   If you sign for the goods without checking them, or fail to note any problems on the delivery sheet as mentioned above, then you are signing to say that you have received EVERYTHING and that it is all in good condition.  The goods are given to the courier complete and in excellent condition and the courier will therefore not accept ANY liability once you have signed to say that you received them complete and in good condition. This means that if you subsequently contact us to say that an item is damaged then we will be unable to replace the item free of charge as there is no way the cost of the item can be claimed from the courier if you have signed to say that you have received it in "good condition".

If you are not in and leave a signed note for the goods then obviously you are unable to inspect the goods when they arrive and will NOT be covered if they are damaged or missing, or 'disappear' in your absence.

If you are getting a relative, friend, or neighbour to sign for your goods then please ensure that they follow the advice above about checking the delivery as they are effectively signing as you.
