Climbing Frame Overview

Starting with the 3ft square tower the 4ft high platform is accessed by either the wooden rungs or climbing net / soccer net. The new open ballustrade design allows the cowboys or indians a good view all round. The 2.5m slide provides good fun for the younger ones, as does the sandpit in the base.

To cater for the more physical demands of those over 6, the Monkey Bars are reached by climbing up the ladder rungs. For the less adventurous the climbing net / soccer net gives confidence as they learn to swing across the Monkey Bars.

Finally the soccer net provides a place to practice individual and team play. Note that for Health & Safety reasons the net openings are just over 23cm (for prevention of head entrapment) . This is slightly more than a standard soccer ball and a skilled player may be able to put the ball through the net!

The layout may be altered for the tower to be in the left or right corner, just adjust your build and use the plans as a guide.

Building Your Climbing Frame

This should take 2 people approximately 4-6 hours to assemble allowing for digging 6 holes 30cm in depth and about 15cm in diameter for the ladder and 4 tower uprights..
