The very strong frame is based around three inverted V shapes using 7 x 9 cm pressure-treated timber. To give you an idea of the strength and rigidity, most climbing frames are happy with 7x7cm. The purpose of the three V shapes is not only to support the two decks but also allow multiple support points for the swingarm. The variable length swing arm can be bolted to the left uprights, the middle uprights or the right hand uprights. This allows you various options for attaching accessories as well as reducing the width of the Climbing Frame for smaller gardens. The unit was designed with safety in mind, with a wooden wall between the platforms and the swingarm. The model being offered also includes what was the optional lower den wall with floor and built in sandpit, at the time an extra £210.

Why was it discontinued? Several reasons, mainly cost. Including the wall & floor accessory pack the unit originally sold for £635. For that price many customers preferred the traditional tower climbing frame such as we still sell. The other was an image problem. The platforms and wall area looked exposed to the weather, even though in fact they were no more exposed than any tower unit. Towards the end of the product life a simple nylon enclosure was developed that closed in the open side and ran under the ladders, creating a large triangular tent. Unfortunately this kit is no longer available, but could easily be made by any competent handi-person. Optional Accessories: Because of the much reduced price, swing seats are NOT included, but we can offer a pair of good quality wooden swing seats for £16! The unit can also accommodate virtually all of the accessories we sell including the Monkey Bars and the Assault Course.
