Adult Swing Set

Monday, April 25th, 2005

I’ve got a load of new products that still need adding to the site.  One of those was an adult swing set.  I was contacted by a customer today whose kids are 8 and 12 years old.  Most, if not all, of the swing sets that I had listed on the site are for ages 3 – 12.  The problem is what do you do when your kids are at the age when they still want to play on the swing sets but are physically getting too big ?

The answer of course is to go for the Adult Swing Set. It is designed for kids of all ages from 8 years old upwards.  I’m glad that he called because it gave me the kick I needed to finally get this listed with the other swing sets.

If you think your kids might be a bit big for the ordinary swing sets then why not take a look at the adult swing set ?

Climbing Frames Etc. Navigation Update

Saturday, April 9th, 2005

I’ve altered the product navigation menu on Climbing Frames Etc. As I’ve been gradually adding more and more products to the site the old menu structure was starting to get a little unwieldy. The problem I face is how to categorise the products when there is so much cross-over in their functionality. For example, where does a climbing frame end and a play structure begin ? What is the difference between some of the kids fort play systems and some of the play structures ?

What I’ve done is to take the products from one manufacturer where the products can be expanded by adding extra kids forts and categorising them into the two sizes that they produce. These are the standard sized kids forts and the compact sized kids forts.

The rest of the products under the Kids Forts option are from a different manufacturer, and again I have tried to group these as logically as possible. With the exception of one product, which clearly fitted in with the Climbing Frames section, I have placed all of the play structures from Plum Products under the category called ‘Play Structures’.

I hope that none of this has left anyone confused or unable to find a play structure that they are interested in. If there is something you are looking for and can’t find it then please feel free to contact me.

Compact Kids Fort

Tuesday, April 5th, 2005

A new kids fort model has been added to Climbing Frames Etc.  This is the Compact Kids Fort.  It is not yet available from the Climbing Frames Etc. menu as this is undergoing a restructure.

Compact Kids FortThis model is being sold with an 8ft wave slide, but it can also be purchased without the slide for anyone who wants to build their own custom play structure.  The option to purchase this fort is not yet available on Climbing Frames Etc. but in the meantime if anyone wants to buy this play equipment without the slide then you can do so on my other site, Garden Playground Equipment.

Please be aware that delivery of this play structure can only be made to mainland England and Wales.

The pictures for the play equipment that has been added to Climbing Frames Etc. over the last few days are now ready.  I am in the process of uploading these at the moment.

There will be a restructuring of the Climbing Frames Etc. site navigation as there are now so many products that I need to find a better way of grouping them. More on this later.

Main Swing Sets Page Updated

Friday, April 1st, 2005

The main swing sets page has now been updated to reflect the recently added swing sets. Unfortunately, I still haven’t got the pictures for the new swing sets, climbing frames etc. I have been assured that these will be with me tomorrow. I am reluctant to keep uploading the swing sets, climbing frames, and kids forts pages as I can’t help thinking to myself, would I buy something if I couldn’t see a picture of it ? And of course the answer is no. However, given that I have been assured that the pictures will be here tomorrow I feel that it is appropriate to continue with the swing set, climbing frame, and kids fort pages as if I leave them until the pictures arrive then there will be a massive amount of work to do.

Apologies to anyone look at the products and wondering what the products look like. This will be rectified tomorrow as a matter of priority.
