Commercial Climbing Frames for Pubs, Schools, Restaurants, and other public places
Monday, March 20th, 2006If you are running a pub, restaurant, nursery, school, or anywhere that will be allowing public use of play equipment then you NEED to be aware of the fact that there is a big difference between residential and commercial play equipment. They are certified to different safety standards for a start. Also, if a child is injured, or you need to make a claim against your insurance then you will soon find out about the difference between the two, as you probably won’t be covered if you are using residential equipment for public use.
I regularly get schools and other bodies contacting me about purchasing residential play equipment that they want to use for public or commercial use. Towards meeting this need for information climbing-frames-etc will soon have a separate section for commercial products. The design requirements for commercial are much more stringent, not only in strength but in planning for vandalism, crowding and fall heights.
